DirectBuy

DirectBuy is a membership-only warehouse that allows its customers the ability to purchase anything and everything needed to build and outfit their home, from materials to appliances to sofas and decor.  We were selected by DirectBuy to handle this turn-key project and with it came some objectives & challenges that the SteelCo team was more than willing to tackle.

The project came with some strict brand guidelines established by the corporate franchise, as well as a firm budget and timeline that would have to be met to ensure a successful completion. For DirectBuy, going with a turn-key steel building allowed them to overcome their most pressing needs for the project, maximizing their budget and timeline, as well as giving them the flexibility of having a large clear span area that would accommodate their showroom and warehouse facilities with the open floorplan they needed.

The DirectBuy building consists of three distinct areas, with three very different uses: an office & administrative section, a showroom, and a warehouse. SteelCo erected the pre-engineered metal building with conventional construction finishes, handling everything from building design to concrete to interior and exterior finishes.  We worked with and scheduled the clients own subcontractors, along with our own team, making the turn-key project as hassle-free as possible.

The steel building is fully outfitted with a stucco exterior finish making for a strong, yet visually appealing building. We were able to meet the special needs of the interior showroom space, which includes multiple waterfalls, display lighting, radius drop ceilings, elaborate fixtures and built-in models, a glass-walled children’s play area, and even a special acoustic-friendly theater showcase room they’ve termed the “Tourism Room.”

All-in-all, the joint effort between DirectBuy and SteelCo made for an impressive building project that was completed on-time, on-budget and to the client’s exacting standards providing a well-designed and functional building that will stand the test of time.
