TOP-GRADE SPECS AND ACCESSORIES ADD SOLID VALUE TO YOUR STEELCO STEEL BUILDING
You can tell the quality of a company by the care and value they put into their products. Here at SteelCo, we spare no effort to build the very best into our steel buildings and give you “standard equipment” other companies offer only as pricey “options.”
SPECS
Any time you consider purchasing a large, precisely engineered item, such as a steel building, it is critical to review the “specs,” or specifications—those vital data that objectively list the item’s material components, weights, measurements, capacities, tolerances, and all those other technical details that provide a close-up view of its true quality and capabilities.
After all, a steel building is a major purchase, and one you should expect to last for many years without unwelcome surprises—lapses in quality of materials or workmanship—that shorten the life of the building, cost lots of money and cause lots of headaches.
Here at SteelCo, we want you to review our specs in detail, because we know that what you will find is a list of top-quality components, designed, engineered and assembled with strict professionalism to withstand the toughest elements and last for years without problems.
Even better, many of these components, which would very likely cost extra with most steel building manufacturers, come standard on SteelCo steel buildings. So not only do you save money up front, but also in the long run, because these upgrades will last far longer and perform with far more reliability.
ACCESSORIES
In addition, we at SteelCo have teamed up with several other metal building and metal building component manufacturers to offer you an exciting line of top-grade accessories to add new dimensions of utility and style to your new steel building project, cover any future renovations or upgrades, or be readily available in the unlikely event you have to make any repairs to your SteelCo steel building.
Ridge and Circular Vents
SteelCo doesn’t furnish just any old vent for our steel buildings, but matches the proper vent to your needs.
Our standard throat opening Ridge Vents, available in assorted lengths for single or continuous ridge installation, are ideal for small-to-medium-sized buildings, while our larger Circular Vents are designed to accommodate more spacious structures. Both models come complete with bird screen and chain-operated damper.

Sky Light (Light Transmitting Panel)
A Sky Light (Light Transmitting Panel) adds welcome natural light and refreshing airiness to your SteelCo steel building while helping reduce energy costs.
This “R” panel model is high-strength, UV-resistant acrylic, with 95% light diffusion and translucent panels designed to match the profile of your building’s metal panels, and is available in lengths from 8’ to 10’.

Rubber Roof Jacks
Formed from durable EPDM rubber compound to match the configuration of your roof panels, these high-quality roof jacks are essential in helping defend your SteelCo steel building against the elements.
Accommodating vent and exhaust pipes from ¼” to 18” in diameter, the roof jack wraps around the pipe, helps push through air and water from bathrooms, kitchens, etc., and seals the roof at the exit point to create a reliably weather-tight opening.

Louver with Screen
Louvers are wall vents that provide an attractive way to keep your SteelCo steel building free of excessive sunlight and damaging rain while providing excellent ventilation.
SteelCo has both fixed and adjustable louvers available for order. They come in a variety of sizes, and are custom-fitted and colored to match your building.

Doors
The right doors add extra measures of convenience, climate control and value to your SteelCo steel building.
We have three popular door styles available at SteelCo:
- The Type M is our standard door, and has no window.
- The Type NL (Slim Line) includes a slim, 30” vertical window.
- The Type G features a 30″ high x 24″ wide window.
SteelCo doors come complete, with leaf, frame with integral weather stripping, hinges, threshold and hardware included. The standard color is white, but other attractive colors to complement your building are available as upgrades.
Because metal building doors are normally assembled on-site, SteelCo doors are delivered unassembled. However, you may order your doors pre-assembled as an option.

“Cee” & “Zee” Members
The terms may be unfamiliar, but “Cee” and “Zee” members are essential elements of the structural integrity of your steel building.
Cee members are used for framing the doors and windows of the building, while Zee members and used for the wall girts and roof purlins. The quality and durability of these members is extremely important in assuring the trouble-free moisture and pest prevention, and climate control performance of the framing throughout the structure. Both are available in many sizes and gauges to precisely suit your building’s design.
SteelCo uses only the finest, most durable Cee and Zee members to ensure, as with all their other painstakingly selected components, that SteelCo buildings reflect the ultimate in strength, durability, precision and quality.

Lifetime Fasteners
New steel building owners may not realize it, but lifetime fasteners are one of the most important investments you can make to prolong the life and appearance of your building.
Many steel building companies use regular screws, which may look fine when new, but rust with exposure to the elements. Before long, the rust bleeds over the metal sheets, causing them to rust in turn, and eventually causing a complete loss of structural integrity.
SteelCo, on the other hand, uses only lifetime fasteners, guaranteed for the life of the structure. These #3 and #4 fasteners come in a variety of shapes and sizes for every type of steel building, and end the problem of rust by preventing it from ever becoming a problem.

WMP-VR Insulation
Proper insulation is a vital component of a steel building, but average, everyday insulation is very vulnerable to rips and tears, which significantly reduces—or even eliminates— its effectiveness, and will probably have to be thrown away.
WMP-VR insulation, however, is designed with a thread that runs through the vinyl backing, so in the unlikely event the outer layer should tear during installation, the tear will not run completely through the material and down to the floor, but will be stopped in its tracks, ready for easy repair with a small amount of patch tape.
When insulation arrives at the job site, often after traveling long distances in tightly packed trucks, it is usually flattened out. Most insulation is slow to “recover,” or return to its original thickness, and the long wait can delay construction. WMP-VR insulation, however, has the fastest recovery rate, and quickly regains its fat, full, fluffy shape, allowing it to be installed very soon after arrival.

PBR Panels
These 26-gauge metal, 36” net girth, panels are far superior to the “R” panels offered by other steel building manufacturers, which are cheaper quality and tend to fit loosely, allowing moisture and other elements to creep in and damage your valuable property.
Our PBR panels, boasting a minimum tested yield strength of 80,000 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch), are crafted with a unique overlapping lip that creates a tighter, more secure seal against the elements. SteelCo also provides inside and outside closure strips for each panel to deliver the critical coups de grâce against water & pest infiltration.
Topping off their unique brand of tough good looks, SteelCo PBR panels feature a galvanized “Signature® 200” finish of tough siliconized polyester with an aluminum-zinc alloy substrate, and are available in a variety of colors.
