MEET THE “STEELERS”
The SteelCo Executive and Sales Team
It takes a great team of people to build a great company, and here at SteelCo, we’ve got a true championship-caliber crew.
They might look like average, ordinary people, and they are, but with one crucial difference: they have steel coursing through their veins, which makes them “Steelers” in the truest sense of the word, and which makes them perfect players for the SteelCo team.
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the SteelCo “Steelers” for the Executive and Sales teams, complete with a brief background bio, details of how they fulfill the SteelCo Core Value of Community Involvement, and their thoughts on why they are proud to be members of the SteelCo team.

SHANE MILLWOOD - Co-founder & Co-owner
Shane entered the steel building industry in 1995, following a four-year stint in the USMC, as an Erector at Superior Structures.
The following year, he joined a major Atlanta metal building supplier as a Sales Rep, and climbed quickly up through the ranks. He was Sales Manager within a year, and eventually created and opened the firm’s new construction division.
By 2001, Shane was ready to stop building other people’s dreams and begin building his own. He teamed up with childhood buddies Denny Hewell and Jason Smith, and SteelCo became a reality.
Community Involvement
Like everyone on the SteelCo team, Shane takes the company’s Core Value of Community Involvement to heart. A member of the Board of Directors for the Newton County Chamber of Commerce and the Eastridge Community Church, he also coaches baseball and football for the Newton County Recreation Department, is a member of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and a graduate of Leadership Newton County.
Shane is Proud of Being a “Steeler” Because:
“I founded SteelCo Buildings because the company I worked for wasn’t supporting their customers (or their sales staff) the way I felt they should be handled. I’m most proud of the way our entire staff works together to deliver superior service, along with great product to our customers. It’s been very gratifying as a founding partner to see how many of our customers come back to us for additional projects. The majority of our business comes from referrals and repeat customers. I’m very thankful for that.”
