Andrew Phillips (Construction Superintendent) named Most Valuable Employee 2008

February 16th, 2009

At the SteelCo Annual Meeting, Andrew Phillips was named 2008 Most Valuable Employee.  This peer-voted award is given each year to the employee that has exemplified the SteelCo mantra of “whatever it takes to get the job done!”  Andrew’s actions in 2008 proved to his fellow-employees that he is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. From 2am concrete pours to after hour warranty work, Andrew has solidified himself as one of the “hardest working” guys at SteelCo.

Jason Smith, VP of Construction, had this to say about Andrew: “He is an extremely dedicated employee and has proven his dedication the past five years by performing every job imaginable at SteelCo”.

His attitude is incredible and his team-pride is so much stronger than his self-pride. Andrew is a “get it done” kinda guy. And he is a subcontractor’s favorite kind of supervisor; he doesn’t mind “getting his hands dirty” to get the job done on-time and under-budget.

Andrew Phillips has recently supervised such projects as: DirectBuy-Conyers location, Putnam County EMS facility and Walton County Senior Center.
